That ship has sailed.
It did so at Mt. View, AR in 1981. It was sold for an outrageous amount of money to a wonderful gentleman who had fallen in love with the instrument and its music. John Buquois and I became good friends and he eventually helped me get started in my business and financed my first recording “Red Haired Boy”. This instrument was a big 4 string per course floating soundboard design. The spruce soundboard was hand painted with a ship and compass. I have two others of the same design at the workshop on display - one painted with a mountain stream and the other with roses (which I was playing when I won the national contest in 1981).
